How to help

Operation Outdoors provides freedom in the outdoors for those who have served either the Military, or Civil Service. All of the opportunities we provide are done by an incredible group of volunteers and donors, and there are many different ways to help give back to those who have served us.

Our volunteers are the backbone of the organization fulfilling needs across the spectrum. We currently have the need for Regional Coordinators and Volunteers to serve as trip leaders and assistants. These personnel need to be well versed and very experienced in the activities we provide.

We also have the need for administrative and other support staff to assist in the planning of events, and day to day needs of the organization.

If you are interested in being a volunteer in any capacity, please print and fill out our Volunteer Application and email it to with a brief message telling us a little about yourself, where you are located,  your experience in the position you would like to volunteer for, and how you can best help us provide freedom to those who have served.

Donation of Goods or Service

The donations we receive, be it goods or services, are the foundation for us to provide our programs. There are many items that we can use to help deliver the greatest impact of our mission including:

  • Kayaks, paddles, PFDs, and other kayak gear
  • Fishing equipment (Rods, Reels, Etc)
  • Miscellaneous outdoor equipment (Shelters, Coolers, etc)

In addition, the following services help support our mission:

  • Design, marketing, and printing services
  • Storage facilities
  • Guided fishing trips
  • Guided hunting trips

If you have a donation you would like to make, please send us a message, and we will promptly respond.
